"We were early adopters of LED lights and we realized that while we liked the light spread, the intensity wasn’t there. When we met the Fohse team and learned about the technology they were putting into their lights, we realized they had the power and intensity we wanted for our production," says Jigar Patel, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of NorCal Cannabis. The origins of the company traces back to the 1996 California Proposition 215, permitting the use of medical cannabis. Years later, in 2018, the current company was founded and their facility opened. "We currently yield over 12 tons of product annually, and are excited to build our entire new facility with the Fohse lights."

Austin Davis, one of NorCal Cannabis' Cultivators, shares that working with these new lights has been a game-changer for their work. "The lights keep the temperatures lower in here for us to work under the canopies, and they create larger buds than we are used to. The amount of light coverage is what really makes the difference, whereas these have six lights on a ballast, we are used to just having one."
In addition, Tyson, another Cultivator for the company, mentions that they have noticed that these lights penetrate the canopy better than other LED lights they have used. "We have been getting a lot more trichomes under these lights and they stay much cooler than HPS."
"Whenever we have to switch the light pattern to suit a different season, we just have to push a button on the panel, and everything is taken care of. This greatly facilitates our practices," adds Davis.
