US (MI): Grand opening of 60,000 sq ft cannabis facility

It has been hyped as Southwest Michigan’s largest provisioning center and cultivation facility.

Saturday’s grand-opening tour of Prosper Cannabis Co., located in Constantine’s industrial park, confirmed that the claim may not be much of an embellishment.

Local dignitaries and community members showed up for the ceremonial ribbon cutting and subsequent tour of the village’s newest business.

Prosper Cannabis broke ground on its 60,000-square-foot facility in May 2020. A unique feature is the fact Prosper has under one roof a dispensary – industry lingo for retail component – as well as a cultivating operation. The cultivating process takes place in an area not publicly accessible. Babcock said the grand opening is a milestone that, due to a variety of factors, was delayed by about a year.
