Biobest Southwest sales team integrated with Beneficial Insectary in Western USA

In 2020, Beneficial Insectary Inc. was acquired by Biobest Group NV and continued to operate independently as a group subsidiary. After the acquisition of Plant Products in 2022, Biobest Group NV decided to integrate their Eastern and Midwest USA and Canadian teams into Plant Products, where they will work alongside the existing reps, offering sales and support of beneficial organisms and other sustainable IPM tools.

Alongside the merger of these teams, a decision was made to integrate the Southwest Biobest sales team into Beneficial Insectary, effective August 1, 2022. This integration strengthens Beneficial Insectary and Biobest's ability to offer the best and freshest biological control agents to their customers both in the West and the East.

Beneficial Insectary is based in Redding, CA, and has produced beneficial organisms domestically for 35 years. This transition means shorter lead times and faster deliveries to customers in the Biobest Southwestern territory.

Joining the BI team are; Jose Morales – Sales Manager US, Tyler Leidig – IPM Specialist, and Abbie Rosenthal – IPM Technical Specialist. All three are based in California and bring many years of experience and knowledge in biological control programs. Each will continue to support the same customers they have been for Biobest and new customers of Beneficial Insectary in their respective territories.

Kelly Vance, Director of Business Development for Beneficial Insectary, had this to say: "Integrating Biobest Southwest into Beneficial Insectary means a stronger and more experienced team of specialists will be available to help new and existing customers make the right decisions for their IPM programs. The Biobest team brings skills and avenues into new crops and growing systems that help Beneficial grow in these markets. The merger also allows for collaboration and knowledge sharing between two powerful and reputable groups of focused reps.

"We see this project as focusing our efforts on the best approach for the customer and the Group. It also means shorter lead times and the freshest and most viable organisms for the existing Biobest Southwest customers. We look forward to serving our industry with combined forces of expertise and dedication to sustainable crop management." Besides technical support, Biobest Southwest customers will now have access to the outstanding customer service team at Beneficial Insectary with timely communication regarding placing and tracking orders, account information, and operating in the Pacific Time Zone. Beneficial Insectary will also offer Biobest "System" branded products, produced and packaged in California, along with their trademarked "Force" branded organisms."
