"First hemp seed to obtain halal certification"

The hemp seed Panakeia can be sold on the Islamic market after obtaining a halal certification. For Muslims, this document is a guarantee that a certain product (in the agri-food or pharmaceutical sector) is "permitted" and is produced in accordance with the precepts of Islamic law contained in the Koran. In this case, the production process of HURV19PAN seeds to be marketed by the company Biomax Seeds has been audited.

"The Arab countries are currently a market with great potential for the cannabis sector, as the Koran prohibits the consumption of psychoactive substances. HURV19PAN hemp seed, marketed under the name Pakaneia, is the first hemp seed to obtain this type of certification and does not contain any traces of THC (0.00%). Halal certification opens the door for this seed to be used for food consumption."

"The expectations we have for this market are quite high because if we capture 1% of the market share, we would be talking about 20 million people," says Antonio Florio, Export Manager of Hemp Trading, the company that distributes Panakeia.
