The Colorado Department of Revenue (DOR), in conjunction with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), is issuing a Health and Safety Advisory due to the identification of potentially unsafe levels of Total Yeast and Mold on Medical and Retail Marijuana flower (bud/shake/trim and pre-rolls, commonly referred to as joints) sold by Kind Care of Colorado, LLC dba Kind Care of Colorado. The CDPHE and DOR deem it a threat to public health and safety when cannabis is found to have Total Yeast and Mold above the acceptable limits established in Colorado Marijuana Rule 4‐115.
Through an investigation that included the submission of test samples, DOR has identified a Regulated Marijuana flower (bud/shake/trim and pre-rolls) sold at Kind Care of Colorado, LLC that contained levels of contaminants above acceptable limits for Total Yeast and Mold.

All affected cannabis has a label affixed to the container that, at a minimum, indicates the license number of the Regulated Marijuana Store that sold the cannabis, the date it was sold, and the Harvest Batch number assigned to the cannabis. Consumers should check the label of their container of Regulated Marijuana for the following license numbers and Harvest Batch numbers.
