US (FL): Fire at Trulieve warehouse

Fire crews in Quincy and Gadsden County worked for hours Wednesday night, making sure a fire at the Trulieve Marijuana warehouse, off Virginia Street in Quincy, didn’t reignite. The fire happened at Building Two at the Higdon Facility Cultivation site. That’s near Carolina and Virginia Streets and Lillian Spring Road.

Quincy Assistant Fire Chief Tonnie Rollins tells WCTV they were called out to the fire around 6:30 Wednesday night. Once on scene, they did find flames but were able to get those under control. After that, they battled smoke issues.

Trulieve officials told WCTV no employees were inside when the fire started, and it was contained to one building. They also told us no one was injured. Trulieve officials went on to say, in part, “We are grateful to the local fire department along with the local law enforcement who acted quickly to help control the situation.”

As of now, Quincy fire said the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
