Growtec opens North American office

Quite some festivities are planned this week during the Canadian Greenhouse Conference, but the team at Growtec has already started. Last week, they officially opened their North American office. From this brand-new facility, production of the Growtec growing solutions, including gutters and irrigation systems, will take place alongside service and office work. The new premises will also serve as the North American branch of MJ-Tech, their Dutch sister company active in high-pressure fog systems.

New office
The launch of the North American office in Leamington is part of Growtec's strategic expansion plans to serve a growing market with agricultural technologies. The company has built a reputation in the production of irrigation assemblies, wire bending, and suspension materials, all of which are essential components for greenhouse projects. Since its participation in the North American market several years ago, the team has been involved in numerous projects, both for the Growtec products and the MJ-Tech high-pressure fog systems, as well as the Robur robots that have recently been added to the group's offerings.

"Although the industry is a bit slower than we would like it to be, we seem to be steady with our work. Thanks to our reputation, the relationship we have with the customer, and the quality we supply, we're able to keep everybody busy at work," says Freddy.

Over the last few months, that work included realizing a brand-new HQ, and to celebrate the inauguration, Growtec hosted a grand opening event attended by approximately 300 local customers and business partners. The evening featured a speech by Brian Zimmermann, welcoming the guests, who were also given a tour of the new office and production facilities. Aside from that, the evening did not include much official stuff: just great food and drinks, music, a casual atmosphere, and even some football watching for those interested.

"We encouraged everybody to bring their partners, as we know what it's like to always be busy, traveling and dining alone – but we also know what support is needed around that and wanted everybody to have a good time. And what we saw, and what we always like about these parties ourselves, is everybody putting their competitiveness away to have a good time," Freddy says.

The good times are set to continue, as Growtec, MJ-Tech, and Robur will participate in this year's Canadian Greenhouse Conference, which takes place this week.
