A major cannabis cultivation and manufacturing facility was unveiled in Montgomery Wednesday morning. PharmaCann has actually been developing and building up the site off of Neelytown Road for almost a decade.

But they have been largely flying under the radar. Now, with a ceremonial first-planting ceremony on Wednesday, October 11, followed by tours of the facility for public officials, the media, and others, they officially unveiled themselves to the local community.

And the indoor facility offers "the perfect environment for those plants to grow," said Jeremy Unruh, senior vice president for public and regulatory affairs, who served as master of ceremonies for the event.

PharmaCann expects to play a major role in New York's growing cannabis ecosystem, providing both medical and adult-use cannabis for the state. But Unruh and other speakers also noted the company has and will continue to provide jobs for the area.
