Connecticut’s Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) has announced an increase in the state’s adult-use cannabis transaction limit to half an ounce of flower, or the equivalent, during one transaction. The new limit will come into effect on December 1, 2023, and has been implemented following an ongoing analysis of available supply and demand in the state.
Different types and sizes of products may be purchased together up to a total of half an ounce of flower or its equivalent per transaction. Equivalent examples of half an ounce include 14 pre-rolls at 1 gram each or 28 pre-rolls weighing 0.5 grams each.
DCP has emphasized that the limit for medical patients is unchanged, who will still be able to purchase up to 5 ounces per month with no individual transaction limits.
DCP Commissioner Bryan Cafferelli stated: “DCP has continually reviewed available supply and demand since prior to the launch of the adult-use cannabis industry in January 2023.
