Frank Boers, Meteor Systems:

The man of aluminum became the man of steel

Half a year ago, Frank Boers made the jump to Meteor Systems. "From day one, it felt right. I ended up in a great company. It's amazing to see how involved and entrepreneurial the people at Meteor are. Moreover, there is a nice, large, and automated machinery park. The conditions couldn't have been better to make the move."

With the move to Meteor, Frank went from being "the man of aluminum to the man of steel." Frank has experience in aluminum construction for the greenhouse industry, and at Meteor, the focus is on the sale of steel cultivation gutters. He will use this background to put Meteor on the map further. The strategic objectives have been defined and communicated internally per department. A clear structure and sufficient attention form the basis for a successful implementation.

Customer value
Much attention will be paid to improving customer value. In line with its growth ambitions, it is necessary for dealers and end users to choose (or continue working with) Meteor. Service, global entrepreneurship, quality, and product development are important for the company.

Regarding quality, Meteor will soon join a select group of HortiQ-certified horticultural companies. The implementation of CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) is another of the strategic objectives.

Meteor strives for sustainable entrepreneurship. This translates into several product developments in the field of sustainable cultivation, improving the lifespan of materials and local production. Meteor aims to maintain strategic long-term relationships with its customers and overcome any challenges together. To facilitate this, Meteor recently joined the AVAG.

Global entrepreneurship
Meteor Systems has three overseas locations in Canada, Mexico, and China. In the Netherlands, hard work is being done to professionalize its internal business processes further. From these locations, Meteor is well-positioned to respond to local needs and contribute to its growth ambitions and the success of its customers worldwide. Meteor Mexico recently joined the Meteor family. A lot is happening there because the Mexican market is on the rise. Meteor can provide reliable and tailor-made solutions in this market.

Peter Lexmond says, "Our cultivation systems are not only intended for the high-tech greenhouse industry, but they are also an important tool in the development of low-tech to high-tech horticultural areas. We are looking forward to making this transition in Mexico and further helping the greenhouse industry."
