Cansativa launches Cookies products on the German medicinal cannabis market

Cansativa Group has entered into an exclusive partnership with cannabis brand Cookies. As the sole licensee for Cookies products in Germany, Cansativa will import a selection of high-quality cannabis products for the medical cannabis market. The products will be cultivated by RPK Biopharma, a wholly owned subsidiary of the SOMAÍ Group.

Thanks to the collaboration between Cansativa and Cookies, patients in Germany will have access to a range of excellent products that are carefully manufactured according to strict quality, efficacy and safety standards.

The Cookies product line available in Germany comprises four varieties of dried cannabis flowers: Apples and Bananas, Medellín, Blanco and Hawaiian Rain. The first product, Apples and Bananas, will be available in pharmacies nationwide on prescription from August 1, 2024. Cultivation and quality assurance are carried out in accordance with EU GMP and GACP standards. Cookies is recognized worldwide as a brand for quality products. Thanks to a careful selection process for cannabis genetics and a state-of-the-art cultivation facility, the quality of the products intended for distribution by Cansativa for the medical cannabis market in Germany is ensured.

Patients can obtain detailed information on the THC content and the medical use of cookie products in Germany from their local doctor's practice or pharmacy.

"We are very excited about the collaboration with Cookies, which will enable Cansativa to expand the range of first-class cannabis strains on the medical market in Germany," says Benedikt Sons, co-founder, managing director and CEO of Cansativa. "Internationally, Cookies stands for high-quality cannabis products that are produced with scientific precision and many years of expertise. For patients in Germany who use medical cannabis for therapeutic purposes, Cookies offers a unique new service."

"Germany is an exciting market for me for a number of reasons," says Gilbert Milam, co-founder and CEO of Cookies, also known as the rapper with the stage name Berner. "The energy since legalization is contagious. Also, my music happened to be played on the radio in the early 2000s and I took a trip to Germany when I was in my early twenties to experience the scene on the ground. The partnership with Cansativa will be very close and I'll be traveling to Germany in the summer for the launch. I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to distributing our genetics in the German market."

"Working with Cansativa and Cookies, two industry heavyweights, to bring Cookies to Germany is a milestone for RPK Biopharma and underlines our strong commitment to producing the best cannabis flowers and products," says Tom Flow, Managing Director of RPK Biopharma, a wholly owned subsidiary of SOMAÍ Group. "The European cannabis market is at a turning point as Germany has just announced the decriminalization of cannabis. We are delighted to be working with Cansativa to bring one of the most recognized cannabis brands in the world to patients in Germany."

"SOMAÍ will continue to support German patients by now offering cookies, one of the most recognized flower brands, through Cansativa," says Michael Sassano, founder and interim CEO of SOMAÍ Group.
