US (OR): Cultivation site near Junction City violates state licensing requirements

The Lane County Sheriff's Office served a search warrant Wednesday at a licensed marijuana grow site along Meadowview Road near Junction City for violating rules set by the Oregon Liquor Control Commission.

Several weeks ago, the Sheriff's Office was contacted by OLCC cannabis inspectors regarding the license grow site, which was found to be operating far outside the boundaries of licensing requirements.

During a site visit, OLCC officials found thousands of cannabis plants that were not entered into the Cannabis Tracking System, according to the Sheriff's Office. The system tracks legal marijuana from seed to sale, and untracked marijuana cannot be legally sold in OLCC-licensed dispensaries.

The tracking of these plants is a requirement established by Oregon Revised Statutes and Oregon Administrative Rules.
