CAN: Micro-cultivation license issued

The Kahnawà:ke Cannabis Control Board (KCCB) has announced that a Micro-Cultivation Licence has been officially granted to MSJ Cultivation. This license issuance follows the thorough evaluation and approval process set out in the Kahnawà:ke Cannabis Control Law (KCCL) and the Regulation Concerning Licensing Requirements and Procedures.

The granting of this license affirms the Board's commitment to facilitating a regulated and safe cannabis industry that promotes socio-economic development within the Territory of Kahnawà:ke, while upholding health and safety standards as outlined in the KCCL. As per the Regulation Concerning Licensing Requirements and Procedures under the Kahnawà:ke Cannabis Control Law, the KCCB has notified all parties, including the community, of the issuance of the micro-cultivation license.

The micro-cultivation license authorizes MSJ to cultivate, possess, and test cannabis, as well as sell cannabis to holders of a valid distribution license or export from the Territory to a licensed processor or retailer in another jurisdiction. Only a distribution license holder is authorized to distribute cannabis products within Kahnawà:ke territory (Kahnawake) to a retail dispensary license holder. The board has said they will only issue one such distribution license.
