US (CA): Cannabis cultivation facility catches fire

A cannabis cultivation facility in Calif. City caught fire on the morning of March 25th; the facility is a 10,000 square foot metal building used for cultivating cannabis and located in the 2100 block of Maverick Street.

According to a statement from Public Safety Director Justin Vincent, a call came into the dispatch center at approximately 2:41am for a report of a commercial structure on fire at the Attil Farms cannabis grow facility in Calif. City; upon arrival, fire units reported heavy smoke and flames coming from the grow facility. Firefighters made an aggressive fire attack keeping the fire to the building of origin; the California City Fire Department received mutual aid from the Kern County Fire Department and Edwards Air Force Base Fire Department; there were no reports of injuries.
