US (KY): Daviess County finalizes regulations, fees for MMJ

The Daviess County fiscal court has voted to pass regulations and fees for medicinal marijuana businesses. Medical marijuana became legal in Kentucky at the start of this year. Under the ordinance dispensaries in Daviess County would pay a $500 license application fee and a $1,000 license renewal fee.

The ordinance also lays out fees for cultivators and processors. County commissioners are hoping the city will also pass the ordinance.

"Hopefully we'll have the same law all across the board for our city and county so our law enforcement knows exactly what they're doing and doesn't have to look at a map to make sure where the instance may have occurred throughout our community," Daviess County Commissioner Larry Conder said.
