NL: Cannabis experiment decisions pushed to next cabinet, following govt collapse

The Dutch cannabis experiment is being pushed to the next cabinet, according to NOS. Following the collapse of the government, the Tweede Kamer has decided to label the initiative as "controversial," meaning it will no longer be discussed or advanced under the current administration.

As reported by NOS, this decision comes as part of a broader review process in which MPs determine which topics should be put on hold until a new cabinet is formed. A majority of the Kamer opted to delay both the proposed electoral reform and the cannabis experiment, effectively freezing further political action on the matter.

While certain topics such as nitrogen policy and defense spending will remain on the agenda, the cannabis experiment joins a list of more than forty items now shelved, significantly fewer than in previous years, largely due to the cabinet's short tenure and limited legislative output.
