US (OH): Education campaign for adult-use consumers kicks off

The Ohio Cannabis Coalition (OHCANN) has kicked off a statewide education campaign titled "Buy Local Ohio: Safe, Tested Cannabis" to guide adult consumers in Ohio's burgeoning adult-use cannabis market.

With the increased accessibility of cannabis, Ohioans are encountering unfamiliar products and facing the risk of unregulated alternatives, such as intoxicating hemp-derived THC.

"This campaign is about more than just education, it's about empowering adult Ohioans to make the right choice for them," said David Bowling, Executive Director for OHCANN. "We want every adult in Ohio to feel confident navigating this new legal cannabis market. By choosing local and legal products, they aren't just protecting their health but supporting Ohio communities."

The campaign, which begins today and will run for eight weeks, features a comprehensive consumer education website. This platform includes a directory of licensed dispensaries, an overview of Ohio's adult-use laws, and educational content tailored for both new and experienced users.
