In Hellevoetsluis, a legal cannabis farm has been robbed, police report. According to the police, the thieves took several kilos of cannabis plants, loading them into a small white van. This marks the fourth time that the company, CanAdelaar, has been targeted, a spokesperson told NOS. Someone was inside the greenhouse during the robbery, but fortunately, they were not injured.
CanAdelaar has been in the news a lot recently, mostly because of complaints about the strong odor from the facility. The issue has even reached the courts multiple times, with judges now requiring the company to take action or risk heavy fines. All this attention also seems to be attracting criminals to the site. This is already the second police report in a short time. Not long ago, intruders were arrested at the premises, and even fake letters were circulated in the area, offering so-called "compensation" for the smell problem in the form of two pre-rolled joints.
