Innovative Solutions brings ProGuard air and surface sanitation to MJBizCon

Mold pressure does not care about wholesale prices or market cycles. When humidity spikes in a cultivation room, spores take the opportunity and growers end up wasting time and money trying to catch up. For cannabis operators, failed microbial tests can easily turn into product loss or a bottleneck in the production schedule.

"Growers should not fight that battle by hand," says Mike D'Ambra, founder of Innovative Solutions. At this year's edition of MJBizCon in Las Vegas, the company will showcase its ProGuard systems, designed specifically for environments where moisture density and plant volume are high.

The ProGuard technology relies on a mix of photocatalytic oxidation and ionization. Humidity in the room is converted into oxidizing molecules which are then circulated through the space. These molecules target mold and mildew spores in the air and on surfaces, including lights, benches and even the plants themselves. © Innovative Solutions

The units are used in different stages of cultivation. Flower rooms, veg, mother rooms, dry rooms and processing spaces can all be equipped with the same technology. According to the company, growers using ProGuard report lower mold pressure and steadier results in microbial testing, without the need to apply aggressive treatments to the crop.

The technology is plant safe and requires minimal intervention once installed. The units are compact and can scale with the facility. One room or several thousand square meters makes no difference for implementation. "Many of our growers who adopt the system begin with a limited installation and then expand it across the facility after seeing the difference in pathogen pressure," Mike says.

"The global cannabis market is expanding quickly, from Europe and Australia to Thailand, South Africa, and across Latin America. As these markets mature, microbial standards are tightening, and growers have to deliver consistent, high-quality flower to stay competitive. That's why international demand for ProGuard is rising so fast: it reduces pathogen pressure proactively, helps operators meet compliance with confidence, and increase both product quality and yields as they scale."
