Two-day cannabis cultivation training in Portugal to focus on everything from plant physiology to crop steering

Delphy, in collaboration with Growficient, will host a two day professional cannabis cultivation training in Portugal on February 5 and 6, 2026. The program is aimed at experienced growers operating in greenhouse or indoor facilities who want to refine their cultivation strategies and benchmark their approach with peers.

The training is designed for professionals with a basic understanding of plant physiology and climate control. Over two days, participants will explore how to translate plant physiology into practical climate and irrigation strategies, optimize indoor and greenhouse environments for yield and consistency, and integrate data driven observations into daily crop steering decisions.

Topics covered during the training include plant physiology, flowering and lighting strategies, irrigation and fertigation optimization, integrated pest management, mother plants and propagation, and crop steering. The program will combine theory with real life examples and interactive case studies.

International expert speakers include René Corsten, senior consultant at Delphy, Tom de Vreugd, Grower Success Manager Cannabis at Growficient, and Jaime Ahumada Espinoza, researcher in cannabis cultivation at Delphy.

According to the Delphy team, the goal of the training is to connect scientific knowledge with practical application. "We see many growers who understand the basics, but struggle to consistently translate plant signals into daily climate and irrigation decisions. This training is designed to close that gap and give growers tools they can immediately apply in their own facilities," the Delphy team says.

The participation fee is 850 euros per person, excluding travel and accommodation.
