Dr. Philipp Goebel has left Demecan, the German medical cannabis licensed producer, after four years with the company. He announced his departure on LinkedIn.
"After four intense, challenging and incredibly rewarding years, it is time for a new chapter," he wrote, reflecting on a period that, by his own account, involved breakthroughs as much as it did long days and tough decisions. "What makes me most proud is not only what we built — but how we built it. With integrity, resilience and an extraordinary team spirit."
Goebel also addressed the broader network that surrounded Demecan's operations over the years, suppliers, pharmacists, physicians, wholesalers, and shareholders among them. "Building a young and highly regulated industry is only possible through strong, reliable partnerships," he wrote.
As for what comes next, he did not disclose his new role. "A new professional challenge is already on the horizon," he said. "I am excited for what's to come and will share more when the time is right."
