Leafwell provided an update regarding its ongoing legal dispute with Florida-based competitor My Florida Green (MFG), including MFG's voluntary dismissal of its own lawsuit.
In October 2025, MFG filed suit against Leafwell alleging deceptive practices and simultaneously pursued widespread media coverage of its claims. At the time, Leafwell declined public comment while the original case was pending.
Since then, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida issued a sanctions order addressing filings submitted by MFG's in-house counsel in the federal proceeding initiated by MFG. The Court found that certain filings contained inaccurate legal citations and references to authorities the Court could not locate, noting that the issues were consistent with the use of generative artificial intelligence without adequate verification. Following the Court's order, and despite all of its proactive press outreach seeking to damage Leafwell's name, MFG voluntarily dismissed its own original case against Leafwell.
Although the broader dispute remains ongoing, the Court's findings and sanctions order raise significant concerns regarding the credibility of MFG's claims.
