North County Regional Fire Authority crews responded Wednesday morning to an explosion at a marijuana cultivation facility in Arlington, Washington. The incident occurred at approximately 11:45 a.m. at an industrial park on the 1700 block of 59th Ave NE.
The explosion triggered the building's sprinkler system, which successfully contained and extinguished the resulting fire before firefighters arrived on scene. No injuries have been reported, and authorities confirmed there is no ongoing threat to neighboring businesses or the surrounding community.
The cause of the explosion has not yet been disclosed. North County Regional Fire Authority has indicated that additional information will be released as the investigation progresses.
