Key Account Manager

Mission Produce is the global leader in the worldwide avocado business, with additional offerings in mangos. Since 1983, they have invested in people, state-of-the-art technology and avocado specific and ripening infrastructure to expertly serve their customers, growers and partners in over 25 countries. The organization owns and operates four packing facilities in multiple global locations including California, Mexico, Peru and UK. The global distribution network includes 12 forward distribution centers in North America, China and Europe, which promote company expansion into new territories and categories. In this dynamic environment and growing business, no 2 days will be the same. Mission has room for a Key Account Manager with fresh produce experience.


Key Account Manager


Position

An international professional with warm relations in European retail

  • You will be responsible for managing and developing the strategic sales to European retail and service providers with a primary focus on avocados and mangos.
  • You will work closely with multiple functions of the business to develop and implement sales strategies.
  • You are responsible for the strategic Key Accounts.
  • You will be involved in the strategic decisions related to the business of avocado and mango.
  • You will focus on finding and developing new business opportunities and creating value for current customers.
  • With your guidance, market share in Retail accounts will grow and further developed.
  • You will work closely with the Commercial Director.
  • You will implement company programs for retail, concerning pricing, competitive strategy, marketing, category management, promotions and logistics coordination.
  • You will provide accurate sales forecasts and alignment with operations to effectively manage service and inventory  levels.
  • You report to the Commercial Director.


Profile

Passion for fresh and sales

Job requirements

  • HBO/BsC degree.
  • Must have a proven record of experience in the fresh produce sector or FMCG sector.
  • Experience with avocado and/or mango or other exotics is a plus.
  • You already live and are settled in the Netherlands.
  • The ability to think ahead and use proven data to turn this into substantiated strategic plans.
  • Knowledge of retail in Europe and you also have an existing network here
  • Driver's license and own transport.
  • You communicate clearly and fluently at all levels and you have an excellent command of English. If you have  a good command of Dutch, German or other languages, this is an advantage.

Location

Poeldijk, ABC Westland. Easily accessible from Rotterdam and The Hague via the A12, A20, A4 and A13.


Offer

Flexible starting hours between 7:30/8:30 a.m. and this a fulltime job with a lot of freedom and responsibility in a fun, small, motivated and informal team. Salary that matches your experience, challenges and achievements. In the first 3 months you will work daily in the office in Poeldijk and after this period there is a possibility to work 1 day at Home. Employment conditions are appropriate to the position within this ambitious company.
