US (FL): Florida legalize medical cannabis

Voters initially approved it in 2016, but Governor Rick Scott signed a law that bans smoking all marijuana the following year.

When Governor Ron DeSantis took office in January, he asked the legislature to give him a new bill legalizing medical marijuana once again. He signed that bill into law Monday.

Patients in Florida who are prescribed marijuana can now receive 2.5 ounces of whole flower cannabis every 35 days.
