US (MI): Producer receives hemp cultivation and processing licenses

Green Hygienics Holdings today announced its receipt of licenses for the cultivation and processing of hemp in the State of Michigan. Per the update, Green Hygienics’ two wholly owned subsidiaries, Green Hygienics Michigan and Coastal Labs Michigan, were granted the licenses under the Michigan Department of Agricultural and Rural Development (“MDARD”) Industrial Hemp Ag-Pilot Program launched by Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

Under the agreement, Green Hygienics is approved to plant, propagate, grow, cultivate and harvest viable hemp seeds or live hemp plants in a state known for its agricultural diversity. “Michigan’s strong farming community produces 300 different commodities on a commercial basis, and we are pleased to be part of its continued growth," Green Hygienics VP of Business Development Matt Dole stated.
