Not only do the fans keep the produce dry, they also work with heating and ventilation systems to increase worker comfort and save money throughout the year. "In the warmer months, they (obviously) cool things down. When set on slow speeds in winter, the fans use their large size—and not speed—to redirect hot air down from the ceiling, creating an even temperature throughout with minimal energy use. This keeps everything, from apples to zinnia seedlings, at the right temperature."
