After initially working together on state of the art Trandos Hydroponic Growers Nursery in 2010, Bon have continued to support Powerplants in Western Australia for almost a decade. “We quickly realised Bon Electrics were no ordinary electrical company,” Carl Van Loon, Powerplants Chief Executive Officer said. “We found great symmetry with Bon as they share our core value of delivering high-level customer service that goes above and beyond.”

The organisations’ overlapping skillset has forged a successful partnership allowing Powerplants and Bon to complete numerous projects for West Australian producers. Bon recently installed two Priva Compass Systems for local growers in Western Australia, independently utilising their own team of technicians. “The recent successful completion of the Priva Compass Systems demonstrated Bon were ready to take on the sub-dealership in WA,” Carl said.
“This step forward formalises what has already been a great working relationship. We have been really impressed with the service that Bon have been able to provide to all customers in Western Australia and it is a great initiative to further allow both companies to grow,” Carl said.

Bon is a family business headed by siblings, Ben and Kaela Bonomi. The duo succeeded the business from their parents over a three-year transition period which was finalised in January this year. “This agreement with Powerplants allows us to continue to push the boundaries, transforming Bon into a fully equipped solutions and service provider,” Kaela Bonomi, Bon Group General Manager said.
“We are humbled to be entrusted with the opportunity to independently provide Priva’s products and solutions to West Australian growers. Powerplants is highly regarded nationally by the grower industry and their support is a gratifying endorsement”, Kaela said.

Bon currently services clients from Albany to Geraldton in Western Australia with ambitions of setting up interstate in the near future. “Our goal is to support growers to grow, we pride ourselves on our consultative approach and we are committed to working in the best interests of the grower,” Kaela said.
In addition to Bon’s involvement in medium and high-tech glasshouses they provide an extensive variety of water and electrical solutions to the West Australian agricultural sector. “We provide everything from a basic pump system or electrical maintenance through to a commercial water filtration plant, high tech glasshouse control system or state of the art packing facility.”

As part of a holistic business model, Bon ensures they service and maintain their client’s solutions long after installation. “Long term support for the grower is integral, we want the grower’s investment to deliver results, this becomes challenging if the grower is poorly supported post-installation which is why we are so passionate about long term support.”
