Randy van Polanen Petel joins Growmasters

“It is of the utmost importance to have stable quality genes combined with a stable environment"

To strengthen the expertise of Growmasters, Randy van Polanen Petel will help the company, bringing his many years of experience in the technology of growing. “I have mainly worked in the ornamental sector for over 25 years,” he says. “My expertise is on latest multiplication techniques and plant physiology. Randy will play a crucial role in the Cannabis Consortium which Growmasters has formed. “I will help growers to better understand how plants react to specific situations.”

Optimizing cycles
For instance, Randy explains that a number of growers can have a hard time optimizing specific cycles of the reproduction. “It is of the utmost importance to have stable quality genes combined with a stable environment. I have seen people making a few mistakes when it comes to this due to stressful growing situations, such as a poor combination of nutrition, temperature, and humidity. If plants react in a strange way, it can be because of a lack of specific nutrition.”

That is why, for instance, Randy will teach growers specific techniques to address those situations. “To give an example, with natural enzymes, it is possible to make rooting faster. The roots would also have a higher air availability in a shorter period of time. The roots will thus have the best and highest quality microelements. This is extremely crucial to kick off the production.”

Empower growers
“Within a short period of time, interviews will be given to all (potential) partners who will participate in the consortium,” Mohsine Elkanza, Growmasters founder, explains. “With Macedonia as a primary base, Growmasters will facilitate R&D, professional education and year-round exhibition with their partners. The (mainly) Dutch highly professional suppliers/companies with their highest expertise, highest standards and high-tech growing solutions in this industry will empower growers with the tools and knowledge necessary to be successful.”
