In the past few years, Koppert Biological Systems has become one of the world's reference companies on research applied to the biological control of pests for medical cannabis. "A productive sector with important growth expectations", is how they describe it. Koppert has developed a complete package of technical solutions based on many cases of the same beneficial insects that are used to control the main pests that affect intensive agriculture.
Koppert Biological Systems will be present at the end of this month at the Cannabis Business Iberia congress, whose first edition in Spain is held in Zaragoza on November 27 and 28.
"We will show our range of specific solutions for the biological control of pests for the large-scale production of medicinal cannabis. For this, we've already confirmed to the organization of the event the presence of several technicians specialized in the cultivation of cannabis. They will have their own stand and provide consultations to the professional visitors", they explain.
During the Cannabis Business Iberia congress, Koppert will present its specific pest control protocols for cannabis based on the use of commercial references, known in agriculture as Swirski Ulti-Mite®, Spical Ulti-Mite®, the biological fungicide Trianum® or the Mycotal® bioinsecticide, among others.
The first edition of Cannabis Business Iberia will bring together dozens of international experts in the production of medical cannabis. The appointment will also be attended by representatives of the entire value chain of this crop.
The technical program includes papers on good cultivation practices, improvements in production and handling processes, and on legal issues related to the legalization of medical cannabis in Spain and Portugal.
