More than two dozen employees have been laid off at Canopy Growth Corporation in Smiths Falls.
"We can confirm that Canopy Growth made the difficult decision to let go 30 staff members that work out of our Smiths Falls facility yesterday (July 8) as part of our ongoing strategic review of the business," Jordan Sinclair, communications manager, told the Record News on July 9.
"This decision was made as we continue to adjust the business to match market demands."
In April, the company let 200 workers go in three countries, including 44 in Smiths Falls (Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States).
