US (MA): Clinton site eyed for cannabis cultivation sells for $10M

A sprawling industrial site on Brook Street in Clinton proposed as a cannabis cultivation and manufacturing facility has sold for $10 million.

A firm called Liberty Compassion has a provisional license from the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission to open a growing facility at the site, at 179 Brook St. The firm, which operates a retail shop under the name Affinity in West Springfield and has another proposed in Boston's South End, reached an agreement with the town on a host community agreement, a form of local approval, last October.

The buyer is a limited liability corporation created in February and registered to Joseph Healey of New York City. The seller is a limited liability corporation registered to Richard Baccari of Providence and Stephen Harrington of Plymouth Meeting, Pa. The sale closed June 26.
