The city's Cannabis Advisory Committee has opened the application process for adult-use cannabis establishments. Licenses include cannabis retailer; cultivator; product manufacturer; craft cannabis cooperative; micro-business; delivery only; transporter; independent testing laboratory; and research facility.
Medford's ordinances establish the requirements and process for the issuance of cannabis business licenses in the city. The aim is to license establishments that meet community goals and objectives set forth by the mayor and City Council.
Business owners interested in receiving a license will be required to apply to the Cannabis Advisory Committee. Upon review by the CAC, applicants will be selected by the mayor to negotiate a Host Community Agreement (HCA).
Applicants will be permitted to seek a license from the Special Granting Authority once an HCA is successfully negotiated.
