US: Cannabis company announces changes to board of directors

High Fusion Inc. has added two new members to its board of directors.

Rachel Wright, CPA, will join the board and chair the audit committee, and Lincoln Fish, co-founder of OutCo and now head of the California operations for High Fusion Inc. The appointment of Rachel Wright and Lincoln Fish to the board is subsequent to the acquisition of the OutCo business by High Fusion in October 2021.

Rachel Wright, CPA MST, is the founder and managing partner of AB FinWright, LLP, a CPA firm in California serving primarily cannabis industry clients across the US. Rachel has extensive experience in oversight of financial reporting and tax for vertically integrated, multistate, and cross-border cannabis and their affiliated companies. She has worked with many companies in the industry to advise on tax and financial matters. Rachel regularly writes for publications such as Bloomberg Tax, the Cannabis Industry Journal, Marijuana Venture, and the LA Daily Journal.

Lincoln Fish, CEO of OutCo Labs Inc., has been a leader in the California cannabis space since 2016. In addition to running a vertically integrated cannabis operation in San Diego, he has been heavily involved in cannabis legislation on the local/state level. Lincoln has an extensive background in healthcare strategy, marketing, and sales. He co-founded a healthcare technology firm specializing in patient financial management and one of the nation's fastest-growing nutraceutical companies. Lincoln is a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Jason Dyck will resign from the High Fusion Board but will still be actively involved with High Fusion's affiliated company, Neural Therapeutics, where he will be both a board member and a member of the scientific advisory committee.

"We would like to thank Jason for his support over the past 2 years as a director and committee member," says Adam Szweras, Chairman of High Fusion. "We welcome Linc, who we have been working closely with for the past year. Rachel, a tremendous addition to our board, has been an advisor to OutCo for taxation and accounting. Rachel has further agreed to head the audit committee."
