Arnau Juscafresa, Master Products:

“It solves two common challenges growers have: space and performance”

“Due to the increase of small and medium growers, the market demands equipment that makes cannabis processing affordable and user-friendly,” says Arnau Juscafresa, CEO of Master Products. The Spanish company designs and manufactures industrial equipment for medical cannabis post-harvest processes. They recently added a new machine to their portfolio, the MT Dry 200. “The compact size reduces the manipulation of the cannabis flowers, standardizes the post-harvest process, and decreases labor costs.”

A new trimming machine
According to Arnau, the DRY 200 is a dry trimming machine suitable for small and medium-sized growers who want to scale their production to the next level. “It offers great results in an ultra-compact version. It is light and portable, silent and versatile. Despite its small size, it achieves impressive results when processing cannabis flowers, and it is very efficient. Moreover, being able to trim the flowers when they are dry means that our customers can work progressively, saving labor costs.”

One of the goals of the MT Dry 200 was to make the trimming job very simple for its users. “It is user-friendly and, thanks to its compact size and versatility, it can turn every space into a real processing room. The barrel diameter is just 250 mm, and the barrel length is 530mm, achieving top trimming results. Furthermore, it can be used as a pollen extractor, adding extra possibilities to the equipment.”

A growing demand
Arnau explains that the current cannabis market demands affordable and user-friendly equipment due to the increase of small and medium growers. “That is why we designed a compact machine that reduces the manipulation of the cannabis flowers, standardizes the post-harvest process, and decreases labor costs. More importantly, it ensures that there is no contamination of the product.”

Still, it is a challenging market for an equipment manufacturer to be in, Arnau mentions. “We are dealing with medical cannabis, so our manufacturing process needs to have product traceability. Moreover, all materials in contact with flowers must be fully certified, and the equipment must be validated to accomplish GMP standards. Fortunately, at Master Products, we are specialized in medical product lines, being the unique European manufacturer distinguished with this seal of guaranty.”

And in the end, it is all worth it when their equipment can help solve the challenges growers face daily. “It is in our DNA to do our best to improve our company every day, both internally and externally. We are all passionate about our work, and we feel proud when our customers are satisfied. Engineering new products for the market and giving solutions to our partners is our highest purpose. As part of our philosophy, innovation is one of the main focuses of our company. Our R&D department works continuously on new trends, creating and designing innovative products and alternative methods to improve our sector.”
