What to expect on the Plant Compounds stage?

With the GreenTech coming up next week, a lot of cannabis news and insights will be shared on the Plant Compounds Pavilion. Here's what to expect. Sonny Moerenhout with Cultivators will moderate the stage.

Tuesday 13 June
Light on cannabis
Light is an extremely important element for growth of cannabis. The amount of light and spectrum of light are two elements which are studied a lot within the industry. Therefore in this session three leading light companies will tell us more about their solutions for medicinal cannabis. Fluence, Sollum and Philips will all put medicinal cannabis in the spotlights.

Cultivation research in compounds
Three leaders in compound & cannabis research in the Netherlands will demonstrate their latest findings. Dominique van Gruisen of Innexo will explain what they perform in cannabis cultivation research. Filip van Noort of Wageningen University will zoom into different kind of compound crops. Kjell Sneeuw of Cultivators will tell more about Cultivation for Compounds consortium.

Cultivation systems
This session will be all about growing systems and climate systems. OC-Agri will highlight there concept for indoor growing systems, Pipp Horticulture will tell more about the vertical racking design and Van Dijk Heating explains their system for dehumidification and cooling.

Medicinal cannabis update
This discussion panel gives an update on the medicinal cannabis situation in the Netherlands, Europe and the rest of the world. We have three cannabis experts: Jurien Koster (instituut medicinale cannabis), Rainer Kruger (J&K Consulting and European Cannabis Association) and Timo Bongartz (Fluence General manager).

Cannabis innovations
The session will highlight innovations in compound crops. Latest innovations at stonewool supplier Cultiwool like the donut ring. F1 Seedtech will explain more about the F1 hybrid varieties they are developing for the market. As well as Genetia will explain more about tissue culture benefits for compound crops.

One of the most popular sessions every year. Highlighting three cultivation companies. Overseed from France, the first French company with a research cultivation license. Update Dutch GKK Experiment & European markets
Everybody who wants to know more about the famous Dutch Coffeeshop Experiment (first recreational cannabis in Europe) should attend this session. We will have one of the selected growers in our discussion panel, also Thomas Rau as speak person of the 10 license holders and finally we have Alex Rogers (CEO of ICBC) who is organizing for many years the International Cannabis Business Conference, coming back to Berlin 29-30 June.

Thursday 15 June
Cultivation systems into quality
Knowing your customer and their quality requirements are crucial aspects for facility design. Lucas Targos (Urban-Gro) will focus on indoor cultivation systems. Tim Oates (Priva – Delta Tetra) will pinpoint important quality indicators. Rene Corsten (Delphy) will explain more about a future proof system for growing.

Post harvest cannabis
When plants are harvested the next important phase will start to achieve high quality end product. Nick Abbingh (Cannabis Drying) will focus on drying the flowers in the right way. Bart Jansen (Bright Labs) is going to explain the importance of analysis for compounds.
