US (AR): Dispensary sees success from house grown cannabis

Medical cannabis sales saw a great start to the year in January. The Arkansas Medical Marijuana Commission reports that 5,559 pounds of medical cannabis was sold in the state, totaling $23.1 million in sales so far in 2024.

Spring River Dispensary in Hardy sold 115.09 pounds of medical cannabis in January.

General Manager Lucas Collins said a product being grown in-house that's taken nearly two years to perfect is likely the cause of January's success.

"I really think most of our success comes from our in-house growth. Last month, it was over a quarter of our sales, just by itself," Collins explained.
