US (MO): Cultivator sued for failing to have cannabis tested

A Wildwood-based cannabis cultivator is being sued for failing to pay to have its cannabis tested. In a lawsuit filed in St. Louis County court last week, Green Precision Analytics, a Kansas City-based cannabis testing lab, claims that 1913 Carrollton Manufacturing owes the company $102,425.

Missouri requires that all cannabis products produced for sale be tested in a state-certified lab for things like contaminants and chemicals.

Green Precision Analytics said it fully performed the requested services but 1913 Carrollton has failed to respond to demand for payment. Green Precision Analytics is suing for unjust enrichment. A representative of 1913 Carrollton Manufacturing said the company would not comment on the suit.

Also last week, the state health department issued a product recall on strawberry-flavored vape cartridges from 1913 Carrollton Manufacturing.
