Gov. Andy Beshear cut the ribbon to a Kentucky-founded cannabis company returning to its home state. According to the Kentucky Cannabis Industry Association, L+O Legacies is a tier one medical cannabis cultivator in Jessamine County. It's a tier one cultivator led by Kyle Hacker and BlüGrass Cannabis.
"Medical cannabis is bringing relief to Kentuckians; it's also bringing in new business and good jobs. Today we cut the ribbon on Blügrass in Nicholasville, a Kentucky-founded company that has returned to its home state thanks to the legalization of medical cannabis," Beshear wrote. He said with another cultivator opening, it's an exciting development in the Commonwealth's Medical Cannabis Industry.
"Craft cannabis is about intentionality, and that translates directly to more options on dispensary shelves. Kentucky patients deserve variety, and Tier 1 cultivators like L+O Legacies are built to deliver exactly that," Hacker said.
"This shows you that most things aren't red or blue, left or right, most things are right or wrong. It isn't right for folks that otherwise have to turn to opioids to be able to have safe medical marijuana to ease their pain," Beshear said on Monday.
