Greg Ellis joins the team at Atlas Greenhouse as Vice President of Sales

Greg’s career in Horticulture started at the early age of 13, when he worked after school, weekends, and summers at a Retail Garden Center, the Plantorium in La Porte, Colorado, until his graduation from Colorado State University, where he received a degree in Agricultural Business. Upon graduation, Greg accepted a role as Head Grower for Blue Sky Flower Farm in Denver, Colorado managing their cut flower operation. From there, Greg worked for ITML, Inc. introducing and establishing sales of a new container line to the United States, and later served as General Manager of their Waco, Texas, injection molding facility. He also received a Master of Business Administration from Baylor University during his time in Waco. His next role was Operations Manager for Aldershot of New Mexico, a large potted plant operation in Las Cruces. He was then approached by an industry friend to consider greenhouse sales with Nexus Corporation in Northglenn, Colorado, which he accepted. Greg has spent the last 25-plus years with Nexus Corporation (later Prospiant) in various roles, including Sales, Business Development, Sales Manager, and Director of Commercial Sales, until he accepted the new role with Atlas Greenhouse as VP of Sales.

Greg believes his new role with Atlas will be the most challenging and most rewarding of his long tenure in the Horticultural Industry and is looking forward to introducing the product line and services to the rest of the country, building an outside sales force, and helping to grow the business.

Greg’s motto in life is “faith, family, fitness, friends, and fun,” and when he isn’t working, he is spending time with his wife of 35 years, children, their spouses, and grandchildren – which he especially enjoys. Greg is a runner who loves being with friends and golfing and fishing in his spare time.
