US (KY): Cresco Labs marks massive 200K gram cannabis harvest in Winchester

One of America's most experienced cannabis operators just completed its first harvest on Bluegrass soil. The harvest milestone fittingly falls on April 20.

"Today marks a defining moment for Kentucky's medical cannabis program and for the patients who have waited years for access to safe, regulated medicine. Cresco Labs is proud to be part of this milestone harvest, and we remain committed to building a cultivation operation that Kentucky can be proud of — one that creates good jobs, supports local communities, and delivers the highest quality products to patients who need them," Executive Vice President of Cresco Labs John Sullivan said.

According to Cresco, the Winchester facility harvested more than 1,300 plants, which are expected to yield up to 200,000 grams of flower. The cannabis will be processed into approximately 30,000 product units. But first, the plants will undergo drying, curing, testing, and processing before reaching Kentucky dispensaries in the coming weeks.

"This harvest shows how Kentucky's program is shifting from build out to delivery," said Melissa Wagamon, regional vice president at Cresco Labs. "Kentuckians deserve access to the high-quality medicine they need, and this is a significant step toward building a reliable supply they can count on."
