Aeroponic cannabis grower renews agreement with carbon credit platform

Aeroponic cannabis cultivator Aeriz has renewed its agreement with Pachama, a carbon credit and climate technology company, to continue to vet Aeriz's environmental processes and offset its carbon emissions.

Aeriz first partnered with Pachama in 2021 to offset carbon emissions and minimize environmental impacts. The partnership was a major step forward for the environmentally conscious aeroponic cultivator, which follows several other sustainable practices including soil-free cultivation and the use of a closed-loop system for efficient nutrient management and waste reduction.

A technology company committed to solving climate change and offering carbon offset credits, Pachama provides insights to help companies track their environmental impact over time. The company uses satellite imagery, remote sensing, machine learning, and other technologies to evaluate carbon storages and monitor forest growth.

"Aeriz could not be happier with the last three years of partnering with Pachama and we look forward to our continued efforts toward a more sustainable future with their guidance. As we make conscious choices to lower our carbon footprint in all segments of the business, our agreement with Pachama remains one of our top commitments," said Ryan Thomas, marketing director at Aeriz.

The company's renewal follows a series of victories for the aeroponic cultivator, which recently took home 14 awards at the Spring 2024 Errl Cup and six awards at the Arizona Growers Cup. Between the two award series, Aeriz collectively achieved 12 first-place wins.
