Premier Tech has launched its Business Group Premier Tech Controlled Culture, bringing together the full scope of the company's technology portfolio and expertise in the CEA industry.
The entry into this new industry is supported by two asset-based acquisitions: Inno-3B, a Canada-based manufacturer of automated, modular vertical farming systems, and Artechno, from the Netherlands, also a supplier of vertical farming solutions, water filtration and disinfection systems as well as irrigation systems. Together, these acquisitions position Premier Tech to deliver integrated, end-to-end automated solutions for growers and producers looking to deploy vertical farming solutions. They also enable Premier Tech Controlled Culture to support projects around the world with a product portfolio meeting both North American as well as European standards.

"Vertical farming or totally controlled environment agriculture represents one of the most significant opportunities to address the environmental pressure and challenges the global food supply chain is facing," said Jean Bélanger, president and chief executive officer of Premier Tech. "Climate change, growing populations, and the need for more local, resilient food supply chains are driving demand for innovative solutions. Premier Tech Controlled Culture brings together our full range of competencies, knowledge base and assets to deliver solutions in ways few other industry players can."

"By combining these proven technologies with Premier Tech's global strengths in horticulture, automation, wastewater management, biological and digital solutions, we are uniquely positioned to serve the CEA market at scale and accelerate innovation across the industry with sustainable production methods using less water, chemical fertilizers and pesticides."
