The Missouri Division of Cannabis Regulation (DCR), working together with Sinse Cultivation Cherokee, LLC, has announced a recall of a marijuana product. The recalled product is: Sinse - Prepackaged Flower - 14g - Permanent Marker (product ID: M00001463153, source tag 1A40C0300000A29000061341). Under Missouri regulations, DCR can inform the public when a marijuana product may be a risk to health or safety.
No health problems linked to this product have been reported so far.
The recalled product was tested as part of a regular safety check that began in July 2025. These checks are done to make sure products are safe, correctly labeled, and meet state standards. This product failed testing because it contained Aspergillus — a common type of mold. Most healthy people can handle small amounts of Aspergillus without harm, but larger amounts, or exposure in people with weakened immune systems, can cause serious health problems. A full list of recalled products is available at Cannabis.Mo.Gov.
If you bought this product, stop using it immediately. Any unused product should be thrown away or returned to the dispensary (store) where you bought it. Returned products will not affect how much a patient is allowed to purchase. For questions about returns, contact the dispensary where you made your purchase.
If you think you are having a bad reaction, seek medical help right away. You can also report any health reactions by emailing [email protected] or by completing a Patient, Caregiver and Consumer Personal Cultivation Complaint Form.
General consumer safety & education
Although Missouri voters approved the adult-use cannabis program, the state's public health authority (DHSS) urges all consumers to use cannabis carefully. Before using cannabis, adults are encouraged to learn about its health effects.
Do not use cannabis if you are pregnant, as it may harm your baby's development. Never drive after using marijuana — it is illegal and dangerous. Marijuana slows your reaction time, affects your ability to make decisions, reduces coordination, and can distort your senses, all of which make driving unsafe. Make sure cannabis products are stored somewhere that people under 21 cannot access them. The teenage brain is still developing until around age 25, and marijuana use during this period can cause lasting harm.
Edibles — food and drink products containing marijuana — carry some different risks compared to smoked marijuana, including a higher risk of accidental overdose. Unlike smoked marijuana, edibles can take 30 minutes to 2 hours to have an effect, which means some people may consume too much before they feel anything, leading to poisoning or serious injury. The effects of edibles can also last much longer than expected, depending on how much was consumed, what else was eaten that day, and whether alcohol or other medications were used at the same time.
It is also important to keep marijuana products away from children and pets. Edibles in particular can look like regular food or candy. If a child eats a marijuana product, they can become very sick and may have trouble walking, sitting up, or breathing. If you are worried that a child or anyone else may have accidentally consumed marijuana, call the Missouri Poison Center at 800-222-1222. In an emergency, call 911.
